Thankful Thursday Week 3
Oh my has it been a week. I could list all of the exhausting things I've done this week, but that's not what this is all about. It's about picking something that made your week extra special and being thankful for what you have.
This week, I'm thankful for my family.
This one might sound cliche, but our family is anything but. We're a party of 6 that has grown to a party of soon to be 15, with lots of personalities, adorable nieces and energetic nephews, the fondest of memories and many happy days trickled with some not so easy times. My brothers can make me laugh like nobody else in the world. My sister always listens when I call (let alone puts up with my extreme type A personality when it comes to this blog). My parents are always supporting me. Not everybody is this lucky. I'm not telling you this to brag about what I have, I'm letting you know that I will never take them for granted. I can't explain how thankful I am to have this growing, loving support making me giggle at the group Snapchat every day, feel loved when I'm feeling lonely in this big city, and always there on the holidays. In fact, since there's so many of us that have more than one place to go on Thanksgiving, my parents have opted to host Thanksgiving the Saturday after. Do you know how many people don't have somewhere to go on Thanksgiving? The Holidays are hard for a lot of people. Those who lost someone, those who just moved across the country, those who can't get home from college, among many other reasons. Do me a favor? If you know someone who might be lonely or sad next week, please write them a card, make a note to call, or better yet invite them into your home for some turkey and stuffing. And then take some time to think and post about what you're thankful for this week.
Happy #ThankfulThursday everyone!
